In The Netherlands, a Lesson in American History
History Reclaimed has contested claims that imperial soldiers and service personnel were treated differently in death from British soldiers. The removal from an American military cemetery of commemorations of the service of black Americans in the liberation of Europe in the Second World War is more unwanted evidence of the politicization of those who died in combat. Allied war dead should be allowed to rest in honour and peace.
